Music Monday
This lovely little number opened for Thrice last night in Denver and it was amazing. This song is my new favorite thing! Check it out.
Bluesy Blues
So i stumbled upon this rendition of the lovely song "I Think It's Going to Rain Today" on Pandora's Regina Spektor radio of all things. HOWEVER. This is so lovely I couldn't help but share it with you all. This song is a Randy Newman favorite although not written by him. Norah Jones, being the queen of covers, does a fantastic job of it in my opinion.
love.
New Mexican Americans.
Happy 4th of July wide world! These are just a FEW of my favorite Americans doing very American things.
Music Monday
So this collbo between Damien Marley & Nas is killer. There are several videos on youtube and lots of music on iTunes. Get it. Now.
Beautiful People
This cluster of images comes from ohjoy! a blog that is too fun to be fabulous. The third dusty image in which the blonde is contemplating the decision between vodka or whiskey is lovely. Wedding do' for shore.
More Music Monday
This song only exists as a youtube video at present and it is SUCH a good song I had to share. I hope it inevitably makes it to the ipod someday as is the way of most things. I have already shared it once here, but I feel it is too good not to share twice.
Music Monday
This is an Austin fellow whom I love dearly. If you haven't heard any of his albums, i would suggest Lonelyland first, follow in chronological order after that. This man also broke my dear dear H's concert cherry so he holds a special place in our hearts.
Jacob Dylan's new album "Women and Country" is a step away from previous albums in that he has steered away from his usual crooning about random things. This album plays of things that he knows and loves. Ch-ch-ch-check-checkitout.
Hair Love.
This could be my new hairstyle as soon as it grows out a little more. Love the color as well on this model from Sea of Shoes.
Daily Ryan Adams Love.
"Bees don't wake up and think:
'How am I gonna buzz today?'
They just do."
- Ryan Adams

Guitar!
So I'm learning this song on guitar. It will be acoustic, so way way way less epic. But a good start to my career I am thinking.
What do you think?
World Cup vs. NCAA baseball
Today it's rainy. There is serious overcast, it has been raining all morning, and I find myself perfectly positioned on our futon. Starbuck coffee in hand and channel changer in the opposite position changing channels from ESPN to our local World Cup game. USA vs. England.
Texas needs to beat TCU to stay in the regional playoffs. It's a little nervous, yes, the game is nervous. Yesterday in the game that was lost, this fellow Kevin Keyes hit a homerun, which didn't help for the win, obviously.
And in World Cup news, what are the ladies watching the world cup going to do without Beckham this year? Well, here are a just a few things,
Landon Donovan for USA, Guillermo Ochoa for Mexico, Cristiano Ronaldo for Portugal
MMM. yay.

CMT Snaffoo
So last night was the CMT Awards and one of the only nice things I can say about it is that John Mayer is hott and Tim McGraw's pants are tighter than a baseball players, Hellooo!
However, poor Kelly Pickler needs a new stylist. This is just toooo tight and T.O.? Weird.

However, the Keith Urban/John Mayer jam was delicious.
Saturday Night Fever.
So last night my beautiful sister and myself celebrated our Saturday night by immersing ourselves in the country music culture. We were transported back to our roots while watching Alan Jackson videos from the 1990's, 2009's CMT Country Music Awards, and last but not least, watching/learning a line dance to the country classic, "Boot Scootin Boogie".
So, if you see us on the street, don't hesitate to request to see our superior Boot Scootin' Boogie skills.
Here is a sampling of what our Saturday night consisted of:
Gotta love that mustache and ripped up jeans. What a hottie!
This old guy has SERIOUS line dancing skills. He has got various instructional videos online teaching an older generation how to line dance.

Lurvely New Artist.
This girl is amazing. Audra Mae. She is from Oklahoma and has a not-so-surprisingly great album review in the new Filter (The 40th issue). A lovely little jewelry maker and I saw her recently in Denver along with Good Old War.
Turns out I already had her on my ipod singing an equally lurvely cover of a Niel Young fav, featured on a great show Sons of Anarchy. Small, small world it is.
Friday Nap = Friday Coma.
Woke up looking like Robert Pattinson this morning after my nap turned into a coma. I was napping at 6:30 on the couch and didn't wake up until 9:00 this morning, but oh how I feel so great!
